I was originally under the impression that one could add items to the trust without having to re-state it and get it notarised for each addition. I thought the trustee had this power. The way the software operates, you need to restate the trust to add to Schedule A. Bottom line, do I have to get it notarised for each addition? This sucks, because I've got an approved form 4 at a dealer right now, and now I'll have to get the trust re-notarised before I can go pick it up. |

To add items to a typical trust, fill out an Assignment of property and print that out, sign it. Then either print out an updated Schedule A or just write in the update w/ a pen. You are now good to go, there is no "re-state'ing" of the trust. If you want an assignment of property and the only way to get it is to jump through a bunch of hoops with the software to get it to generate one, then so be it, just discard the other stuff it generates. |

drift punch, that is not the way Willmaker operates unless it is f'd up some how. Open Willmaker Open the document Welcome screen click next check amend trust click next Highlight Add/Remove property click next Next screen tells you about adding/removing just click next Click add item to list Type description serial number etc and click next It will ask you if the item has a title document. Click no. Now you need to print the amendments. Basically it is going to print out the assignment of property and the updated schedule A. That is all it will print. It will not print the entire trust. Fill out the property assignment and put it and the new schedule a with your original notarized document and you are done. Make copies of what you need to send to ATF with the Form 1/4 which is a COPY or the original notarized trust and a COPY or the schedule A. |
