I just got my paperwork back form the CLEO approved   . SOn, Monday the Form 1 (and uplicate) and other COC form will be off to the BATFE in WV for the approval....8-12 weeks  Will they take a personal check? Anything I should include on the check? |

Yes they will. I usually send a personal check. It makes it easier to check on the status. I can find out when my check was cashed directly from my bank. I then give it a couple of weeks and then I call and check status at BATFE. This was really handy with my last form 1. My check had been cashed and I called BATFE and they said that it "Isn't in the system yet". I told the lady on the phone that I would think it would be in the system by now, that the check was cashed two weeks ago. I could hear papers shuffling in the background and she said to check back in 30 days. I called the next day and talked to a different person on the phone and they said that it had been approved on the day before. (The day I called the first time). Two days later I got the approved form 1 in the mail |
