| I need help finding the parts to adapt an 870 to an ar15 for a friend. |
| It would be more practical if it were mounted to the left side of the barrel similar to the UK-issue H&K side opening double action AG-C 40mm grenade launcher, mounted on a Diemaco C8 carbine, but instead keep the shotgun's barrel parallel with the carbine's barrel. Placing the barrels on the same plane would eliminate your aiming problem with blasting locks. This setup would allow you to access both weapons at the same time as well. You place your left hand on the foreward grip of the shotgun and pull the trigger with the left hand while keeping your right hand on the rear grip maintaining access to the carbine's trigger at all times. |

=SBS when attached a <18" shotgun to a stock (AR15) I think they are all sold as SBS's anyways. |
How would it eject mounted on the left side? It would cover the ejection port. |
It makes the weapon front heavy and you are better served with a separate shotgun but it is quite legal. and depending on the length of the shotgun NFA paperwork is sometimes required. |
| Actually on future weapons awhile back there is a company making mini HEI rounds for the 12ga shotgun so its got a purpose, now whether thats being attached to the M4 platform or standalone its unknown. Personally I'd rather have 2 useful guns attached like the above is that way if you ran out of ammo for the .223 and had 00 buckshot/slugs left your not out of the game. Its not like you could shoot your way out of a fight with HEI grenades not point blank you'd be a fool. |
Only NFA is the shotgun barrel is less than 18". The Predator shotgun is not NFA. |
