You should probably consult with a lawyer regarding your trust then, or form it for just yourself.

But yeah, my guide is here www.86th.org/?id=nfa-trust.  Its a work in progress and I havent had a chance to update it lately, sorry

Why do you want your father on there?  Just curious.... as he can store it for you without being on the trust if you follow ceartain guidelines.

I reciently did my trust. My initial intention was to enter into it with my father as well as we are the only 2 shooters in the family. I decided it would be a more inteligent use of funds to buy a safe that I will need anyways when I move out and use willmaker, then to hire a lawyer to write up my trust. This did limit me to being the only person with access to the item, but now that I have it and am considering sbr'ing my lower I am glad I went the route I have. My specific situation doesn't REQUIRE anyone else having access to my NFA toys so it works for me. My dad can only use my suppressor on my guns anyways cause he has no threaded .22's.

Many people in the NFA boards tend to recomend people "go see a lawyer". If I was intending to spend 15k on a MG I would liekly do this, but I spent $425 with a stamp for a .22 suppressor and I coudln't justify the expense of a lawyer. To some extent the fact that there is a 10 year $250k penalty for illegal NFA items may be part of many peoples concern. I have a good deal of faith in the justice system in this country so I am not terribly concerned with unjust prosicution.

I would say if you can figure out a way to get by with willmaker standard trust, so either just a single person or a husband/wife, that is your best bet as it will free up more money for the other things you will want once you get an nfa item like a safe, or more nfa items. :D

As far as a willmaker walkthrew it is unnecessary I just made a fake trust first to see how it all came out then figured out what data I all needed and made a real one. It is very simple once you are in the program.

Please see the chapters on living trusts in the legal manual.  You are transferring all your interest in the property from yourself as grantor to yourself as trustee.
