| Would having a RDIAS in a weapon allow me to use a short barrel, pistol vfg, etc. that a regular machine gun can have? To clarify, does the RDIAS apply to the whole weapon or just the DIAS part? |
False. An AR-15 with RDIAS installed can have ANY Bbl. length you desire... But must be replaced with an upper containing a >16" Bbl. as soon as the autosear is removed from the host. |
my apologies. I didnt know that. Im dumb and was just going by what ive learned from SBRs instead of actually looking into what I was talking about. Thank you for learning me something lol. now im going back to the books to learn about everything and think before I "speak"

What everyone else has said. The same applies to the RLL. Whenever the RDIAS/RLL is installed the host weapon, it (the host) becomes part of the MG and is treated as a MG. When the RDIAS/RLL is removed from the host, it (the host) must be configured as a Title I weapon... Unless, of course, your host is a Title II weapon to begin with (SBR). |
