Would having a RDIAS in a weapon allow me to use a short barrel, pistol vfg, etc. that a regular machine gun can have? To clarify, does the RDIAS apply to the whole weapon or just the DIAS part?

As long as it stays with the weapon and is not removed while the evil features exist then it is fine.

an RDIAS is the machine gun, so your host can have whatever you want

that s, as long as it follows rederal guidlines too. ex. no short barrel unless registered, or no suppressor unless registered. that kind of stuff.

False.

An AR-15 with RDIAS installed can have ANY Bbl. length you desire... But must be replaced with an upper containing a >16" Bbl. as soon as the autosear is removed from the host.

What everyone else has said.

The same applies to the RLL.  Whenever the RDIAS/RLL is installed the host weapon, it (the host) becomes part of the MG and is treated as a MG.  When the RDIAS/RLL is removed from the host, it (the host) must be configured as a Title I weapon... Unless, of course, your host is a Title II weapon to begin with (SBR).
