Background: Last time I moved I sent a letter indicating the change of address. Received a confirmation letter a week later. Sweet. I read later that some people have called to have their address change. Today: I call NFA banch to see if they'll change my address over the phone. Not only will they not, but they want me to send in a 5320.20 (in duplicate, of course). Their rationale being the people who file the address changes by letter are 'a couple months behind'. WTF, over? I'm just moving down the road. This seems like total overkill. |
