In purchasing an AOW (with the $5 transfer) such as the short barreled 590 or 870, it cannot have a full stock attached at any time after purchase, right?

hello. you are correct. you cannot have any stock on them at all. only a pistol grip. kirk

It cannot have had a full stock before either. Has to have been built on a bare receiver or a factory pistol gripped weapon. If it ever had a stock it can only be a SBS.
