I was going to establish a trust for my next few CIII purchases but the wife and I also need one for our estate planning.  Does anyone see problems with multiple trusts?  I thought of doing a cheap one with Quicken for the CIII stuff and then having a pro do ours.

i wouldn't see a problem with that at all, unless your state has some law against it.   I think there are a few people on here that have done that very thing.

I don't see any problem with having more than one trust, after all, people can have more than one car, house, bank account....

Also, for NFA weapons, having them in their own trust, is probably a good idea for lots of reasons, liability being one.

Is there free, reliable, trust software out there?

Not really. Good T&E (Trust and estate) software starts around $160. You can get quicken will maker for $50, but the wills are pretty shaky. NFA isn't as complicated as actual estate planning though.
