My dept. allowed me to fill out a form 1 for the dept's issued ar-15A3 rifle, A bushmaster, and I now have a copy of the form with the original in our armory file. Now which 11.5 upper would you guys recommend? any brand that stands out as a good and accurate, plus reliable since it will be my duty rifle, for around $400-450, for the barreled upper. I would personally recommend the LMT 10.5. I realize it isn't exactly what you define as your goal, but it has everything you mentioned wanting from your upper expect the 11" part Other good choices: Colt- the lightweight is a proven winner CMMG- all those with CMMG uppers love them and they are a #1 service minded outfit and Bushmaster, all have terrific 11.5 barreled uppers available. (for reference- I have and use the LMT 10.5 and Colt 11.5 Lightweight bbl uppers) keep us posted |
