do you need to go to the sheriff if you have a local PD? I see on the form that it can be a number of cleo but i've never done it and am thinking of building a sbr. also can i use a ar that I own now with a 16" and just buy a new upper? thanks for any help. |
Either one (chief of police or sheriff) is fine.
Yes. You also need to engrave the lower with your name, city and state. I suggest waiting on this until you get CLEO signoff. |
