I'll be using Triple 7, 209 primers, and T/C sabot 40 cal 155 grain hollow points. I got a bunch with the rifle fairly cheap so I'll use them if they are accurate. The rifle is a Traditions stainless steel inline with a 2.5x scope on it. Price was too good to pass up.
What would be a good powder load with this?
I'm thinking 130 grains of Triple 7.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hodgdon's data doesn't go over 100 grains for any .45 load. I've shot 110 in my Knight's .45 with heavier bullets than you are using. Why not call Hodgdon and ask them?

I worked up from 90 to 130 grains of loose Triple 7. 110g worked the best for accuracy.
I also picked up some 175 grain Powerbelts and tried those with 110 grains.
There was less than 3/4" difference at 100 yards betweent the two on zero.
I'm good for a 5" group at 150 with three rounds. Not great but good enough for a whitetail at that distance.

I haven't been happy with Powerbelts. They have been inconsistent in my rifle. One time I might get a 2" group- the next time 8". I've had better results with Dead Centers or Hornady SST's. I just picked up some Blackhorn 209 and plan to try it this weekend. I've read good things about it.
