whats the diffrence between no.10 and no.11 percussion caps,

I believe it is the diameter. #10's are smaller.

#10's [smaller] are usually used for revolvers...#11's are used for rifles.......although I've converted all my perc rifles to musket caps......more reliable ignition.

I have #11 nipples on my Colt Walker (Uberti) , and use 11m caps to light the massive charge of 777 (60gr) in that heavy revolver.

All I've been able to find are number 11's in stores around here. I don't want to pay the hazmat fees to buy number 10's online. I just pinch them a little before capping my revolver. ( I find myself using the word "nipple" too much in mixed company).
