I've made boxes out of cardboard from furniture boxes and similar. I've also bought boxes from Staples and Office Depot, but I don't remember if they sell ones long enough for a Mosin.

I lucked out and ran into a vendor at a swap meet with brand new ULINE boxes the 8×4×52 ones for rifles and the longer / bigger ones for snowboards.

Wish I could send you some.

I've gotten many great boxes from golf stores.

I've used boxes that flourescent light bulbs come in.  Like others mentioned I usually end up making a box out of something I've hacked up.  My FFL gives me boxes but a M91 is to damn long for most of them. I used a a piece of a refrigerator box on my last shipment, which was a monstrou Swiss Vetterli.

I went to the ups store today. They don't have a box long enough but said I could put two box's together at $9.50 each.

As mentioned above...........your local gun store or kitchen table dealer.
I take 20-30 rifle size cardboard boxes to the dump every other week.
