I'm looking to buy a p38.   I might have a lead on one in the 400 dollars mark. The pistol is marked Walter p38 on one side and has the interarms sunburst logo on the other.   Condition appears to be excellent.   Any idea what it's worth.   Sorry no pics yet.

Are these pistols ok to shoot I heard the alloy frames can crack or is that only if there abused.    I know nothing about them but they seems really cool.  I want one for my post war/wwii surplus pistol collection.

Thanks.

Post war P-38.

#1 Thing to watch out for on these is cracked slides, check sides of slide at bolt locking cuts for signs of cracks or distortion / stretching.

Don't shoot GI M882 or +P ammo in it.

Sounds like a P1 rather than P38 to me
