| Have the opportunity to purchase a K31 in great condition, on face value, it looks unissued. Guy that has it got it from samco a couple years back. It was sold as unissued . We worked back and forth and he is at $600. What do you guys think? Too much? Appears $550+ May be the current going rate. |
I've got 2 that were very clearly issued... So I payed much less than that a few years ago.
I seem to remember a batch coming up for sale somewhat recently that were unissued and commanding a premium price in that range your friend wants. Curious to see what others say. |

Samco had "unissued condition" K31's on sale a while back. I think it was ~$600 for a beech-stocked one, and ~$630 for a walnut. I recall that based on some other reading I did, these were arsenal refurbished to like-new condition, or something like that. I also recall reading that some had issues with bedding. I picked up a beech one, but have yet to shoot it. I'm not sure if I will. It is interesting to see a K31 with a mostly-blued buttplate.

I paid $89 for mine in very good condition with a mirror bore....at that time I remember thinking that it would definitely be worth $600 in new/ unissued condition.

I would be tempted if it was actually new. Not so thrilled if it was merely refurbished. My K31 was about $175 IIRC, but was beat to hell with a yucky bore. |
