Bought one with a beat up finish years ago.  Stripped the finish and boiled it in zero weight synthetic oil.  Ended up with a beautiful gray finish that seems to be impervious to rest.

They are great pistols.  It is easy to load the mags with the UpLula pistol mag loader.   Otherwise the mag spring is a bitch to compress.

I purchased one just because in surplus you buy when u see. What's the story on these guns, I'm not really hip to it?

I like the 82s.  Usable DA pull, unlike the mongo DA pull on makarov variants like the PA63 and P64, and decent mag capacity.

Got mine from Aim on Thursday. It looks unissued. I cleaned it and took it out Saturday.

Had one hang up with the rounds I am using: hammer didnt always lock back. I noticed I did over oil it a bit. Cleaned it and bit more reserved on lube this time. Hopefully, it will run better next time. Much more fun to shoot than the p64 so there is that.
