With Classic allegedly buying out Pat Burns m39's, I discovered a private collection I was unaware of. Do other single source channels for other c&r guns exist?

You just got to keep looking. Theres a guy here (not saying his name because he will chim in anyway.)Who finds stuff all the time at super awesome prices. I find a gem time to time. You just have to look. I bought a huge lot off of armslist a few years back. Guns, ammo and all the extras. Armslist, gunbroker, facebook pages,  hell even craigslist.

I'm on all those trails, I simply wondered if a single type of weapon (as in the only lot) was purchased en masse like burns did the m39

The Burns M-39s are a unique situation. As I understand it, the rifles were purchased in bulk under an FFL. At some point, Burns ceased to have a FFL, and the M-39s were rolled into their private collection.

I think it's unlikely that we'll see someone liquidating 1,000+ plus examples of the same rifle from a private collection again.

wasn't really collection, it was inventory. Her man did something illegal and his dealer license was taken away. As part of the "settlement" she was allowed to sell them toget rid ofthem

I thought Mr Burns was a collector/speculator who passed away.  Had no idea he got got popped by Johnny Law.

No, he didn't pass away.  He did lose his FFL and I can't remember the reason, but this is an unusual situation.

Anyone know the reason for the loss of the collection and FFL?

Yep, I bought my mint VKT from the main company when they first came in. I think I paid $179 or so and a few years later the whole thing went whacky with the company.
