It's a rifle that has gone through a rebuild. Not a original rifle. Depending on bore and barrel wear conditions in the $750- $850 range if not import marked If you have a CMP cert it'll bring a little more. You can always try and hunt down the parts you need to make it "correct" but in the long run it'll cost you more than buying a correct grade. Personally I like Garands like yours as one can only imagine what it's military service was like. |

You can send them (CMP) a request and some money. They will tell you if it was a DCM or CMP rifle. Quoted:

Is there a way to find out if it come from the cmp. I purchased it for $450.00 back in 01. You can send them (CMP) a request and some money. They will tell you if it was a DCM or CMP rifle. The quite, they will search their records but they are incomplete. Less than 5 percent hit record |
