Looks like AIM is about to drop some more Swiss rifles and Simpson has just dropped quite a few including some with matching bayos.
Bet a lot just got imported...

ALWAYS when I'm broke

I need a K11 with matching bayonet...and a K31 with my last name on the troop tag.

Curious to see AIMs pricing. Simpson is hard to beat on these as I know Simpson's import mark is tiny and I can see the exact condition of the rifle I will receive. That's worth extra to me.

Simpson is by far the best place to buy a Swiss rifle. You can choose the exact rifle (serial number, and thus year), can see it from all angles, and you get a description of the rifle as well. It's handpicking it yourself without paying a fee for someone you don't know picking off a random pile for you. Shipping is fast and they are pleasant to deal with.   I've purchased several from them over the years and have never been disappointed.

I have to pay tax being local, so that's always ruined it for me from Simpsons, but if I didn't I'd gladly purchase from them without going in for the lottery elsewhere.  I only have one K31, with all the accessories and a numbers matching bayonet.  The only bummer is the Swiss stamp on top of the receiver is rather worn, almost like a reblue.  Almost jumped on the unissueds Samco had, but was a lot of coin when I didn't have it at the time.  AIM, while a good vendor, I've gotten some good some bad out of their milsurps, the same as everywhere else when purchasing sight unseen.

Got mine today.  The rife will likely be a great shooter.  My brother who is good at it will likely be able to steam most of the stock out.

The bore is VERY frosty.  Rifling is strong , but not happy overall.  Worst Rife I ever got from Aim though it will likely out shoot most  modern commercial rifles on  my shelf.

I can't believe you got a K31 with a frosty barrel. I have bought 7 of them over the years and all have had perfect bores. I would send it back.

Send it back, Aimsurplus CS is the best!!

I'll try to clean it first.  If it stays that way I might think about it.  It still has strong rifling and has been re-crowned so it will likely shoot very well.

Should be getting my k31 in a week or so. Ridgeline, did you pay for the best of 5?

No I did NOT.  With AIM's quality I did not see the need. STILL NOT BASHING AIM, but I would pay the extra $5

Yeah I paid the extra $20.

Did you look under the buttplate yet?

Simpson had a 96/11 for $195. Took all of my power not to purchase. Someone has it on hold so I am safe... For now...
