| Not sure what the piece is actually called. It's that little leaf spring with the tiny screw on the back side of the receiver near the trigger. Is there a trick to removing it? Mine won't budge. I've pushed down and forward, nut it won't come out. Thanks. |

I believe you are talking about the floor plate latch screw, the piece that click into the bottom of the magazine. There is nothing special to it, just a screw, if it wont budge try some kroil or pb blaster around the head and then the other end of the screw up inside the mag well.
But really no need to take it off, a few pipe cleaners up in there from the latch area soaked with hoppes 9 will do the trick, I usually blow it out with air from my compressor or canned version. Then follow it up with a light patch of kroil. |

on the bottom? That is the sear, it comes out with the trigger after removing the screw and trigger pin. On the side is the interrupter. I never remove this, just pull it away a little to get a brush in there to clean. Interrupter screw shown here. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/lees99f150/m39/m39tang008_zps75100857.jpg Assuming it is this, there are two parts to it. You will need to slide/beat the spring towards the barrel end as it is dove tailed in to the receiver. While doing this you will need to use a screw driver or chisels to raise the end of the spring opposite of the screw high enough to clear the locator bump on the ejector. |
