I have aquired a 1903 which has been sportsterized (sorry), and the safety will not clear the scope. Is their a kit or something which corrects this? I know a fix exist from what I've read and was wondering if it is something relatively easy to do. I don't have an issue with it as is but am thinking long range.

Move the scope forward, use a shorter scope, or get a taller mount. Those are the only options I can see.

Pretty much this. Only other option I can think of is if someone offered a sniper safety for the 1903 like they do for the K98k.

Such safety levers were a staple during the heyday of sporterizing Springfields. Is Brownell's doesn't still carry them then you'll find one in the misc. parts boxes at a gunshow.
