So I was hoping someone could help me.
I obtained a Lee Enfield No1 mark III in .303 British. At some point in its life it had the forestock cut back and all the forward hardware removed. (essentially sporterized but with no real changes except removing the hardware) I have dug through various sites and suppliers and I'm lost as to what I need to buy to bring it back to its original shape. Essentially everything from the forestock forward to the barrel is needed including the rear site. Fortunately the band around the barrel that a screw goes into is still on the barrel as from my research that can be a pain to deal with. Is there a package or a specific parts list I can order just these parts by from one place? I'm fine with aftermarket and repro parts as it is just a shooter for me. Anyone care to help a bubba'd Enfield see life again? |

Numrich or Springfield Sporters should have all the parts you need. Numrich, IIRC, has a diagram so you can see the parts you need. I knew this might help me.... I hadn't tried calling Springfield and just got off the phone with them.... They have a drill rifle parts kit / stock kit that has everything I needed for like $65. Should be here next week, and I will try to post pics when I get it all assembled. Woohoo!! |

My Dad saved a wreck of a 1918 BSA with donor parts from a drill rifle. Turned out pretty well, especially since he got the BSA disaster for $45. |

They dried up for a while and it's good SS got in some more and are offering them for a reasonable price. They must have got more over last winter. I bought a few of those drill stock sets a few years back when they first offered them. They were Indian (screw in the fore-stock) but other than the stripes they were all like new and cleaned-up real nice. Great for a rescue. |
