Hi,
I have a bit of a dilemma. I was cleaning the bore of my Enfield .303 using a Possum Hollow Bore guide. I talked to Mr.Sinclair, and had him send me one specifically for the P14. Anyhow, I got this rifle used, and the bore had alot of gunk in it. So I put the guide in and swabbed the bore with some Shooter's Choice copper remover. Well after swabbing the bore numerous times, as well as running a .30 cal brush through it, the bore guide refuses to leave the chamber. I tried tugging, wiggling, twisting.. I tried tethering 550 cord through the solvent insertion hole and pulling it out while the rifle sits on my cleaning rest. Nothing, won't budge. I called my gunsmith, and he had no idea what to do. I tried calling Mr.Sinclaire, but noone answered. Any ideas on how to handle this situation? |

Quoted:
put a fat screwdriver into the notch that allows the insertion of fluids and hit the the screwdriver with a big deadblow hammer drive the bore guide backwards and out you may need to stand the rifle up and strike downward It took some solid blows, but it worked!! Thanks bro! |
