Well I finally went and shot the K31. Unsupported with open sights it groups about 3 inches which is pretty good with my eyes and the fact that I don't get to shoot much.
I figure I will scope it and am looking at the Swiss Rifles K31 clamp on mount haven't decided on aluminum or steel. For rings I am thinking about the Millet Angle Loc windage adjustable rings. Haven't decided on a scope yet. Anybody have any advice here? |

OK, frequent discussion on this. First, Swiss Products aluminum is the way to go, or accumounts aluminum. Then rings- most people use Warne #2's. But, not exclusively. Fixed 4's or 6's are popular. Some use vintage K4's or K6's.
Swissrifle's or gunboards provide a wealth of info. http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?314937-Scope-a-K31 http://theswissriflesdotcommessageboard.yuku.com/topic/12331/Quick-Alpine-Sporter-308-Swiss-Products-DT-mount-questi#.Uf8ti9LIVW8 An alternative is the Rocksolid mount. |
