Just FYI,
Allan's Armory just posted some M-38s including one with an M-38. Do want, but I decided to pass right now. Figured I'll put the word out here.

I'm sure they will be flooded with calls tomorrow morning when they open up about that M38 stocked one. I would be calling myself but about to go on family vacation next saturday. Would love to own that rifle...

How long ago was this? Lady at Classic told me they don't plan on getting more for almost a year from now. ????

She wasn't very friendly either.

Glad I got mine a few years ago when they were still under $100.

I'd honestly be happy spending $400 for a nice condition m38 stocked one!

Got my second one last year, at a gun show (you know, those places you can NEVER get any sort of deal), for $120

It is in a M38 stock and is in nice condition.

Around here you can sometimes find good deals at the gun shows...  you've just got to be patient, at the right place at the right time, etc...  Oh and of course wade through all the airsoft, leather bags, jewelry, beef jerky, roasted nuts and other non-gun or only peripherally related crap.

Some gun show dealers are cheaper than brick and mortar, some aren't...  Few beat the Internet...  but you never know what someone will have for sale used on a table or walking around...

FWIW, I've been to some gun shows other places and the quality of them varies a lot.  Some I wouldn't ever bother going to...
