Hi,
I bought a sling that I thought went on my Eddystone M1917 but I am not sure as it will not thread through the sling swivels. The one I bought says Nobuckl patent # 7-21-14. I am not sure if the swivels are the wrong ones or I have the wrong sling. The buckles won't go through the sling swivels though. Thanks in advance.

I got a repro No-Buckl sling for my M1917, it's kinda weird, and it took some jimmying to get the thing through.

This link was immensely helpful in getting it set up, too.

great link

the Kerr should fit, may be a bit tight,

hope you got the right length, (they made 3 different lenghts IIRC)

Thanks for the info. Can you explain more about the "jimmying" process please?

Okay I got it. It was not clicking in my mind to fasten the buckle on the swivel, then unfasten and feed it through. Looks great-very happy. Thanks!

Welcome. That was the part I had to wrap my head around, too. And the buckle-strap junction, where they're riveted together, is slightly wider than the opening in the swivel will permit. I usually have to wiggle laterally while pulling it through; that's what I was trying to get at with the "jmmying" bit.
