Hello, how do I move the front sight from the M44? I tried to do some research and I understand that the M44 were sighted in with the bayo extented but I don't want the bayo on the rifle. So I took it off and I was trying to laser sight in and the front sight needs to move to the right. I have been trying to move it with a hammer and a punch but that thing doesn't move. I left it oiled over night and tried today and still doesn't move at all. I don't know if is solder? how can I make it move?

there are some kind of holes in the front, is that a sign of solder or pinned? what to do?   please help. thanks

As was posted above.............the Elby sight pusher works great.  You can also do it with a hammer and punch, but it's a pain in the ass.  The sight is staked in place, so they're a bear to move sometimes.
