Hi all I am looking for a 1903 action specifically so I can build a M1903A1. I dont want to rip apart a nice weapon and would rather either find a stand alone action or a sporter at a reasonable price. My googling has shown to be weak as I havent found anything out there and CMP hast had 1903s in a long time. Anyone have a source they could post or PM to me. Thanks.

You might try listing an ad in you local paper or little nickle. I know newspapers are old school, but of the thousands of 03's that were surplused, I bet a whole lot are sitting in someones closet. I wouldn't list the for a specific model (ie Springfield 1903) but rather a general listing of WTB old guns. You might have to sort thru a bunch of junk, but you never know what some widow has, and does not know that someone would buy it. I have got a few by word of mouth, "Hey you like guns right?, Grama has a bunch old junk rifles and she could use a few bucks."
