Can anyone give me some info on this firearm?

I have a friend that wants to sell one and I know nothing about it. It is a .410 smoothbore. Serial #28xxx. Are these legal? If so, what is it worth?

Thanks.

Harrison & Richardson still makes them, they commonly sel for about $250 new.  Look in a Blue book for the pricing or take it to a gun shop and ask them what it is worth, but call them first.

12 inch barreled rifle, without the proper paper work it is worthless as it cannot be legally sold and is subject to confiscation by the BATF

If licensed they are worth good $$

what he said , there are some with 18 inch barrels. With less it needs a tax stamp . The parts are worth  money remove the barrel from the receiver and take 1 or the other far away
