Is this possible. I aim to make my M44 my new hunting rifle and I enjoy the double set trigger groups.

The set triggers will cost more than the M44 did.

Get the Huber, or the Timney.

It is a modification that is done mostly in Europe .  I'm unaware of Sarco and/or other companies that carry the conversion parts.  It is a sweet set-up when done correctly and p.s. with the proper barrel they are tack drivers.

The Huber is for Remington 700s and clones of the Remington 700.

Yes that's lovely but it's not a double set like this.

So?

I said to not bother and get the Huber or Timney and you said that Huber only made Remington 700 triggers.  I corrected you.

If you want to undertake the time, effort, and money to have a double set trigger designed and installed in the Mosin Nagant series of rifles, go for it. Good luck, God bless, and all that.

If you want a better trigger, buy the Huber or the Timney.

Definitely buy the Timney, a double set wont be worth your time or money. It is possible though..

Very nice!!

I like a more rounded butterknife, but this is a beauty.

If you have the time, and the skill, or the money, go for it! That rifle in 9.3x54R would be a tasteful way to go Moose hunting in Finland.
