| Ok I am new to C&R collecting. Just purchased my 1st C&R and I know I have to enter it in my bound book, no problem there. My question is (Because I am getting different opinions) do I have to enter non C&R purchases or any of my collection prior to getting my C&R license into my bound book. Some say all and every purchase, some say just where I used my 03 FFL????? Any help? |

You need to enter any new C&R-eligible purchases into your bound book. Non-C&R firearms don't get entered, nor do C&R firearms you already own. You would only enter C&Rs you previously owned if you dispose of them; at which point you'd enter them with a note saying "previous acquisition" or the like.
All C&R-eligible firearms must be entered while you hold your license, whether you used it to acquire the gun or not. |

do I have to enter non C&R purchases ...No. C&R purchases only any of my collection prior to getting my C&R license ...No. Only those purchase after you've received your C&R license. However if you sell something from that collection you must enter it into your book as "From personal collection" and then log it out to the purchaser. |
