Hi guys, could use some help

I had my bolt out and at some point in time I must have fliped the safety to "full safe" and now I can't get the safety to flip to any other position,  the saftey is 180 degrees off where it should be for breaing down and now I can't unscrew it, or put it back in the gun, any suggestions, between this and then being a lazy asshole and using some gun-scrubber in a can that I won in a raffle which effed up my grips on my cz-82 I am about to throw something ARGH!  anyway  any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is all you will need to know, don't feel bad because anyone who owns a mauser has done this or is lying

I've lurked for awhile but I have this exact same problem. I took it to a gunsmith last time but I thought I could do it myself. I found that site noted a few days ago and followed it. I must have pulled too hard though, because the sear lug you pull with the screwdriver came completely off when i pulled it out and turned it? So, now it won't go back in because the internals are turned and it only fit in the way shown in the pics. I took it to a gunsmith and they looked at me like I was stupid and recommended me to someone else. Any thoughts?

That's pretty interesting, I have used a screw driver like in the instructions and you do have to press really hard but I cannot believe your's broke off/came off?

I haven't broken mine, sorry dude.

BUT, I will be the first to admit that I sat there with cramped forearms and fingers trying to get my Mauser bolt back together.  Would rather clean 3 Yugo SKS's of cosmoline than disassemble a Mauser bolt again.

Of course, once you read the instructions........

+1.

I would agree with this after taking the bolt down the first time and putting it back together, but after the first experience you can take it a part and put it back together without instructions because it's that easy.

I pulled it with a vice grip and turned it and was able to engage the firing pin. Hopefully now I'll be able to take it apart. Do you guys have any links on directions on how to do that?

Go to the link above, hit "home", then search the menu for your mauser. Then read. Do this BEFORE you take a new gun apart.
