Picked up a C96 converted to 9mm. The trigger does not reset after firing unless it is manually pushed forward, it stovepipes 2 out of 10 rounds, and it sometimes does not go fully into battery. What can it be?

Main spring is weak, the trigger return spring is a flat on ( I think) and will need replaced as well. Take care to note how the gun comes apart as there is one part that can go both ways. Put it in the wrong way and the gun will not function, nor come back apart.

Sounds like the trigger return spring needs to be replaced or bent a little.
