| A quick question though I think I know the answer. Can some who possesses a curio & relic license send some else's curio & relic weapon to someone in another state? I do not think it is allowed even if the curio & relic license holder does not charge a fee. I believe this is not allowed due to the license being for the collection of weapons for the license holder. Can someone confirm or deny this? Thanks |

I imagine as long as the person receiving the weapon has a C&R FFL and the weapon is C&R eligible then the "other" person could just ship it them self. If it is a handgun, having a C&R doesn't enable you to utilize the US postal service for shipping a handgun so it's not like the person shipping the gun is going to save any money. Long guns are fair game so the "other" person can ship for the same price as a C&R FFL holder. |

Kingston is right. The person who receives a firearm has to be licensed, not the person shipping it. Your friend can ship it himself- I use Fed-ex Ground. If the person receiving it doesn't have a C&RFFL it will need to go to a licensed dealer for the transfer.
Also. A C&RFFL can't be used to receive a firearm for someone else- there's no transfer for other people. Jim |
