[ARCHIVED THREAD] - When does it end?

I've been baking, heat gunning, etc. a "new" yugo sks for four days now and there is still cosmo seeping out. Will I ever get the majority out? If so, when might I expect this to occur?

Would you rather it seep out on you at the range?

My mauser didn't take long, I would heat the stock up, then wipe off the grease, and then quickly wash the stock with simple green. I slowly heated the stock by putting it in the shipping box and directing a ceramic heater to blow into the box, it got real hot sometimes. I did about 9 wipes and washes, and couldn't get anymore oil out of it.

That is precisely what I'm attempting to avoid. I'm only looking for a time frame so that I might subdue my eagerness to get the rifle put back together.

After you heat the bulk of the cosmo off, try lacquer thinner to remove the rest.
