I just ordered one case. I wanted to order two, but it's Berdan-primed. Should I have gotten two? Buyers club = $151.97 SPG coupon = -$10 Shipping = $19.48 Total cost = $161.45 Price per round = $0.33 I've never had an issue with SPG. The closest thing is a few months ago I'd ordered a spring kit for my M1 Carbine and it was missing one or two springs. I called them and they sent me another complete one immediately, I got to keep the incomplete one also. |

I ordered two cases yesterday afternoon. Got an e-mail cofirming the order. So we'll see if I get both or have problems. FWIW, I've never had problems with them before. But it's been a couple of years since I've ordered anything from them. And I'm not sure but I think this is the first time I've ordered ammo from them too. |

I was prepared for it's out of stock, you're ordering too much you must be a dealer, etc. There was none of that, they wanted to double check my shipping address because it's different than my billing address. "Looks like everything is in stock, and we'll ship it right out." ETA-8/21 Got the shipping notice 63.30lbs.

Ordered a case last night. Got the email stating they shipped it today. And they are sold out according to their website. I doubt other suppliers intend to match this price. Unless there was a large shipment that came in recently with a low wholesale price. I think SG just wanted to clear out their stock because it wasn't moving well and sold it at a reduced markup. |
I got mine for exactly what the original total was. |
Well checked my email today and no cancel notice so that is good. I usually get my shipping notice right before or after I receive my order due to the fact that I live so close to SG. (about 2 hours north). Thought I was getting screwed over cause my order was $10 more than everyone elses but I forgot I have to pay that little thing called sales tax. Oh well, still a good deal...Turk |
| SPG won't honor the catalogue price of $159.97/480 rds. (BC price $151.97) as of this morning. The only reservation that appears in the catalogue reads that SPG reserves the right to correct a price if it is found to be a mistake. Every customer service rep I spoke with admitted it was not a mistake, but rather, their costs went up and that's too bad for you Joe Customer. Dishonorable business practice at least -- one less SPG customer here... |

Dishonorable business practice at least -- one less SPG customer here..." Typical SG practices. They tried that bait and switch stuff on me when I ordered some battlepacked 5.56 a while back. The original price was $189 a case and I got a e-mail saying that they no longer had the ammo and were not getting any more. I had a backorder invoice from them showing the price and when they suddenly "found" some more for the price of $269 a case they were miraculously selling it again. I dropped them a line stating that I was sure that the Post Office fraud division and the Texas State Attorney Generals Office would probably be interested in these tactics they decided to honor the original price. I do not do business with them unless it is a hell of a deal and never with ammo. |
Just got my ammo about 30 mins ago. Didn't even take it out of the box as I went right for the packing slip. 247.88  . Called SG and after sitting on the phone for about 10 minutes was able to get the difference refunded. I would assume that orders placed after mine will have to deal with the same issue. The website currently shows a price of 223.22 for club members so in a days time its gone up over $71. Ouch! I'm glad I got in on this before it went up even though the money was supposed to buy me another rifle. Turk |

Yep you will have to call them but Id wait till you get the ammo so that they will not turn it around in transit. Remember, they don't want it back after its been delivered. Gives you a little more leverage... Turk |

What is the law with something like this? Can they charge my card for a greater amount than I authorized and stick me with the difference? I would not have bought the ammo if it hadn't been at the discounted price. Am I responsible for the shipping charges to return the ammo if they charge me the higher amount? Anyone have any experiance with this kind of situation? Thanks in advance, Gary |
I'd call the credit card and tell them you've been overcharged. I'm no lawyer, but that sounds like fraud to me. |

dmk, That is what I was thinking. I have the receipt they sent me via email that has all the correct charges. They also sent me a note telling me my order had been shipped with a tracking number. I guess I'll wait and see what arrives. Hopefully these overcharges are isolated mistakes and not a business practice of this firm.  These guys at UPS most work some crazy hours! They once shipped me some POF .303 that they had advertised as British manufacture and when I called them up the young lady said no problem and mailed me a prepaid UPS sticker to return it on their bill. They also refunded me the full amount including my original shipping. I find it interesting that they can have very good customer service for the most part but do the bait and switch with the pricing quite often. |
WOW! Pricks is certainly an understatement. That sounds illegal to bill you one thing, then charge another.
