IF i buy an Ishapore rifle in 7.62 x 51 NATO caliber, can i be safe and shoot commercial .308 ammo out of it.  I dont want the gun to blow up in my face but also would like to reload for it if possible.  TIA!!

I don't think so.  I only have limited knowledge on those guns, but I think you can only fire 7.62 x 51 NATO ammo in them.

Milspec 7.62 only. Commercial .308 operates at a higher pressure that's unsafe to use in the Ishy's. You will run the risk of blowing a barrel and/or action and may be hurt.

I've successfully loaded for my 2A1 using .308 components.  I tried shooting .308 American Eagle through it but I didn't care for what it was doing to the brass.  Mixed results.

Nothing over 50,000 psi.  Commercial loads are hotter, don't use them.  In the case of a LE you could drive the bolt back causing headspace issues.  I only shoot true NATO w/circle and + like LC thru mine, or handloads.
