I got it, started filling it out this evening. A few questions: 1. Is there a law (I seem to recall seeing or hearing of one in regards to a gun shop) about vicinity to a school? I live a half a block away from a elementary school. As you know a C&R is a collectors license so if there IS a law regarding a gun shop would it also apply to a C&R holder? 2. CLEO, in Erie PA would that be the City Police Chief or the County Sheriff? I'd assume Sheriff since thats where you have to go for a CCW permit. 3. Residence phone number. We (my girl and I) only have cell phones. No landline at the house. Will this be a issue? Thanks |

Are you allowed to buy a gun in a gun store and have it at home? Of course you are. It's perfectly legal to live near a school and own guns. The only thing the C&R does is let them be delivered to you. No issues 2. CLEO, in Erie PA would that be the City Police Chief or the County Sheriff? I'd assume Sheriff since thats where you have to go for a CCW permit. Who would respond if you called 911? That is who gets a copy of your application. Call the Sherriffs office and ask. In my case, I called the North Pole Police Dept, and asked, they said the State Troopers had jusridiction over where I lived. In fact, I moved the other month, and did not have a phone yet when I filled out my application for an ammended FFL, so I wrote "no phone" in that block.
