Can someone tell me what rifle this is and any idea where to find one.  I just like the way it looks.

Spanish FR-8 or FR-7 . They took 7mm and 8mm Mauser's and converted them to .308 CETME as training or 2nd tier rifles. To match and supplement  the CETME Autos. They also can use those cheap Spanish bayonets you see everywhere.

About the only place that has them is the gun shows, auction sites and maybe Hunter's Lodge in Shotgun News. They are usually in the 250 to 300 dollar range.

I have one, but it ain't for sale

FR-8 entry on surplusrifle.com

Spain was in the process of implementing the CETME assault rifle, but there were not enough of the new assault rifles for issue and training.  They did, however, have stockpiles of older Mauser bolt action rifles (1916 and 1943 models). They developed a rifle that not only could be used to arm non-combatant and “Guardia Civil” troops, but also would fill the gap in training purposes until more CETME assault rifles were produced. The Spanish Special Purpose FR7 and FR8 rifles were born. These rifles were designed to shoot the 7.62mm NATO cartridge and have a birdcage flash hider that is designed to fire NATO rifle grenades.  Under the barrel there is a hollow tube that looks very similar to a semi-auto rifle's gas assembly. Its function is to hold the bayonet adapter and store cleaning equipment.

They are very sweet little rifles. The last time I took mine out to the range I was able to shoot a sub 3-inch group with Port surplus. I found mine at a local gunshop and I have seen them on Gunbroker and at gunshows occasionally.
