hey all was rippin round the net came up w/ this FPK PSL anyone got one is it nice woth the cost I loooove this caliber and a semi in 54r got to be cool so how bout those reports |

First of all, It isn't a Dragunov... The popular conception is that the PSL is more closely related to the RPK than the SVD. A lot of people have reported accuracy and reliability problems, but it's nothing a little tinkering can't fix. It's my opinion that these problems are directly related to shooting ammunition that was not designed to be used in the PSL. 7,62 Russian has a ton of different loadings and dimensional specifications from several different countries. Since Romanian sniper ammo isn't available, we have to settle for manupulating the PSL to run with what surplus we have. I don't have one, but that's only because I can't afford it. |

I have one . +2 they are ammo finicky, try various surplus until you find which shoots the best and than buy a case or two of it. Mine shoots Wolf best, than Russian surplus than Czech. They heat up fast and accuracy starts to open up. A couple of different scopes can be used, 4x non illum is standard but the Russian 6 & 8x are better choices . Ergonomics suck. Buttstock is way too short. Trigger sucks. You can buy longer aftermarket stocks and better triggers which help alot. |
