| I bought an SVT-40 earlier this year and it did not have a cleaning rod. I looked everywhere on the net and came across an egay auction. When it went above $60 dollars, I said no way. Lucky for me, two funshows ago I ran across another SVT-40 with a cleaning rod and I snatched it up. Anyways, there is a machinist at gunco.com who was willing to do a side project for me and I shipped him my cleaning rod. He said it should not be too much of an issue to make and he bought about 20 feet of material. I only buying about 3 of the rods from him and I metioned that there may be other collectors that are missing cleaning rods and would he make some more because he will have material left over. He has agreed to make about 5 more. So anyone need a repro cleaning rod, just drop me an IM or email me: neo at blarg.net and I will forward that info to him. Cost for the rods should be about $35 to $45 shipped. |
