If I send a C&R thats logged in my bound book out of state to be fixed/refinished do I have to log it out and then write it back in when I get it back?

Anything special to do when a logged firearm is out of your posession temporarily?

Yes, you have to log it out.  Since this is a transfer between licensees, you also have to obtain a certified copy of the FFL of the person to whom you are sending the firearm.

The receiving FFL will log the firearm into his book and log it back out when he returns it to you.  When you get it back, log it in again.
