[ARCHIVED THREAD] - beeswax?

Seems to be the 1/3 part in the Finnish Mosin stock finish nicknamed rancid reindeer fat, equal parts turpentine/boiled linseed oil/beeswax.

But where the heck do you find the wax? It's not like bee hives are the phone book...

I MADE A 1/3 MIX WITH A TOILET BOWL RING, ive been flamed for thinking that the ring isn't beeswax but if you do a yahoo/google search it says that they are indeed made of beeswax. they are only $1 at home depot.

I'd been eyeing my SnoSeal for boots, said to be bees wax but smells like a bit of thinner in it.
