you leave Hoppe's No. 9 corked in a barrel for atleast six months?

Not saying that I have or would do it, jsut wondering... don't ask.

Probably nothing.

Everybody has their ways. I'm not into corking anything into the barrel for six months.

depending on how well its corked it might evaporate. A buddy of mine had his entire bottle of hoppes evap right out even though the top was on right and (supposedly) tight.

It ages the Hoppes better, lets it breath ya know. A good vintage 1988 Hoppes corked in a barrel (I prefer a No4 Enfield barrel myself but some guys like the tangy and sprite K98) is a wonderful experience.

I like a early 90's CLP with steak, and the Hoppes goes better with spicy foods, like italian.
