I'm thinking about ordering one of their $99 K31 rifles and I'd like to know if anyone here has gotten a rifle from them. If so, were you happy with the rifle, was shipping prompt, etc., etc. |

FGS sponsors one of the Swiss sites. I've never gotten a rifle from them personally. Let us know how it turns out. Dennis Jenkins

The rifle came in yesterday. FGS Inc's service was prompt and courteous and the rifle shoots like no $99 rifle should! Buying all the ammo I could get locally (2 boxes of Norma and 1 box of Hornady) I was getting 1" 5-round groups at 50 yards. It was pouring down-rain at the range at the time as I couldn't wait for nicer weather to shoot the thing. I'm sure I'll get 1 MOA on a nice day when I can see my target a little better The rifle has all matching parts, built in '45, perfect bore, the bolt looks brand new (instead of looking like its 50 yrs old), all in all a beaut. The buttplate yielded no former Swiss serviceman's name and ths stock is a little rough, but not all that bad. Best money I've spent since I bought my SKS for $75! Now, to start collecting brass... P.S., the K31 is almost as sexy and fun to shoot as an AR... |
www.fgsinc.8m.com/custom4.html The stock pretty much looks like the picture of the lower grade rifle on their website. There aren't any gouges or chew marks on the wood, but it is rough around the buttstock (I imagine this is from prolonged contact with snow?). Nothing that can't be refininshed or, in my case, ignored. |
