I bought a brand new 15-22 a few months ago,  first range trip, the extractor, plunger, & spring went missing (less than 100rds).  S&W sent me a new extractor & plunger, ...  then the spring a couple weeks later.    Maybe try the S&W?   I learned the hard way that a $1.00 part can side-line the weapon.
