I want to put one of the Vortex viper or venom red dots on my takedown, but also want to keep my techsights installed.  The tech sights take up the two rear rail holes on the receiver, so I'm looking for a short rail that will mount on the receiver using just the front two holes.  Anyone familiar with anything out there that will work.

If someone doesn't make one I'm thinking about just cutting down a full length rail and using the two front holes only.  Would this be secure enough?

Found this, which should work, but I'm still thinking about just buying a cheap ass rail and cutting it down.  After all, it's just a 10/22.

Just cut the factory rail. Works fine on mine. Used black birchwood marker on untreated end after cutting with hacksaw.

This is what I have on my takedown with a TRS25.

If you want a pic of it installed, let me know.

Damn, that's perfect!  Thanks!

Google failed me (or I should say, my Google skills failed me).
