I probably should have asked before jumping in with both feet but no I just spent a fortune
My current DCM Service rifle is a RRA A4 with updated CLE Hooded rear and a CLE front. I also have a 2-stage trigger but it's been too long to say which I had used and she is an 11-pound monster with the lead in handguard and stock. So, to approximate my DCM upper in 22LR I bought a 20-inch 22LR CMMG barrel with bolt, a CLE A4 carry handle with 0.5MOA clicks (same as my RRA) with the hooded sight. Also ordered a CLE DCM float tube with handguards and lead to go with it. I already have an 28-inch CMMG 22LR I shoot as a carbine so I know these are accurate and I have a good supply of 22mags. Hence, this why I decided to just build a DCM style upper from CMMG barrel as opposed to others. I also have my 10/22 Liberty training rifle (Wood stock, match trigger, and Tech Sights) but practice with that gun just wasn't helping me shoot service rifle better. I hope to get the parts soon and share pics but I've put this project off for way too many years! I was going to do it in 2012 and then life got "complicated" First thinking about this |
