[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Threaded bolt 22 advice needed

I'm looking for a threaded bolt action 22 with iron sights to teach my daughter some fundamentals. She loves semi auto 22's by I want her to concentrate on the fundamentals so I now NEED a bolt 22.

What does the hive recommend?

Requirements:
Bolt action
22lr (open to .17)
Iron sights
<250 price range
Threaded

I prefer if it has the option to mount a scope later as well.

The best bet would be the Ruger American. Probably the compact version for a child.
It's a little more than your $250 budget but I do not think there is a better option currently.

I've eyeballed both of these options and is I find across a deal on either will probably pick one up. I was curious to know if there were any other viable options. I was thinking something similar to a cz99.

The Ruger American Rimfire may be slightly over budget but the changeable stock feature may be useful for your daughter.
