Hey guys I have a suppressor finally coming in and want to be able to put it on my 10/22. I have seen a few options.. first i've seen these adapters that go on the end of my barrel I have now (non threaded). Do these work and are they safe? They sell for around $20 on eBay so I'm a little skeptical but if they work and are safe that would be great and save me some money. If not what barrel can you recommend? My ruger is just a very standard 10/22. Wood stock with regular barrel. Not looking to spend $200 on a barrel if can be avoided. Thanks

Here is the adapter I am talking about

Maxim didn't call his invention a suppressor, he called it a silencer.

Ok guys thanks for clarifying on suppressor vs silencer, but no barrel recommendations?

Get your/a barrel threaded.

A suppressor suppresses the sound, it doesn't silence it.

Hollywood & the anti-2nd amendment crowd want to call them silencers to scare the sheeple.

Call it what it does - a suppressor.

Get this barrel (threaded) for right around $200.

E Arthur Brown Company has a shitload of barrels. You should find one for just about any budget.

I have a tac sol, but you could have a factory threaded or I've seen cheaper all steel barrels on eBay.  Just make sure it is concentric.

He comes highly recommended by the guys at Rimmfire Central (no personal exp with him, but I have never seen a bad comment).  Also Tornado Technologies (not sure their pricing) has been recommended here.

I would just search Gunbroker for a factory threaded barrel since you don't want to spend a ton of money on it.
